Q: Due to COVID-19 is the pantry open?

A: Yes, Izzy’s Food Pantry is accessible by appointment only. Please email or call 361-825- FOOD (3663). Students will need to wear a facial covering and have their student ID. Please leave a phone number in your email so that we can call back to make the appointment.

Q: Can I donate during COVID-19?

A: To minimize contact and disease spread, we are not accepting donations of food products at this time. However, you may make monetary contributions on our donations page.

Q: Do I have to make an appointment or qualify to use the pantry?

A:Yes, until further notice you will need to make an appointment.

Q: How often can I visit the pantry?

A:  Current TAMU-CC Students may visit once a week, during operating hours.

Q: How much food am I allowed?

A: Students may pick up to 25 items per week due to COVID-19. 

Q: Can students pick up food on their first visit?

A: Yes

Q: Will I be asked to complete an application or survey?

A: All students must fill out a TEFAP form yearly as this is required by our partner, the Coastal Bend Food Bank of Corpus Christi. 

Q: Is there a charge to students?

A:No, Izzy’s Food Pantry is a free service offered to currently enrolled TAMU-CC students. 

Q: What are the hours of operation?

A: The hours of the pantry change based on semester and breaks. Please click here for current hours of operation. 

Q: Where is the food pantry located?

A: Izzy’s is temporarily located in Breaker’s Game Room on the first floor of the UC. 



Q: What can I donate?

A: Izzy’s Food Pantry welcomes all non-perishable, non-expired food items.

We do NOT accept:

Perishable items

Homemade items

Swollen, leaking, rusty cans

Unlabeled cans

Opened, used items

Q: Can I donate other non-food items?

A:  Due to limited space, please contact us at 361-825-FOOD(3663) or via email at to confirm whether we can accept non-food items such as toiletries. 

Q: What donations are most needed at the pantry?

A: Izzy’s welcomes all non-perishable, non-expired food and encourages healthy and nutritious options such as: canned chicken/tuna, pasta, pasta sauce, soup, cereal, peanut butter, granola bars, full meals in a can/box, and canned fruits/vegetables. Please visit our Donation Page to see most requested items.

Q: Can I donate money?

A: Monetary donations can be made at . Donations may be tax deductible as allowable by law. Click on Izzy’s Food Panty as the area of the University you would like to support.

Q: Is it more helpful to donate money, gift cards or food?

A: While Izzy’s Food Pantry accepts both food and monetary donations, monetary donations and gift cards enable us to purchase food items that the pantry may be low on or purchase food at wholesale prices.

Q: Where can I drop off donations?

A: Food donations are accepted in marked bins at the University Center in front of the Information Desk and at University Center 204, during TAMU-CC University Center building hours. If you would like a donation box for your classroom, office or organization meeting/event, contact us at and we will provide one for you. We have bins located in: 

  • The Dugan 
  • Corpus Christi Hall 
  • Tidal Hall 
  • CASA 
  • USC 1st floor 

Q: Whom do we contact about a food drive?

A: You can contact us at or call 361-825-FOOD (3663) to discuss your food drive.

Q: Can someone pick up a donation if we are unable to deliver it?

A: Yes, arrangements can be made for your donation to be picked up.  Please contact us at or call 361-825-FOOD (3663).
